These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SEOVault, including the SEOVault AI Chrome Extension, web app, website, features, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). SEOVault AI is operated and provided under the legal business name "SEOVault AI."

By accessing or using SEOVault, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Plain-English Legal Summary

SEOvault is a subscription-based service that uses credits for AI-powered features.

• Used credits are not refundable
• You may cancel anytime to avoid future charges

Payments, taxes, and billing are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions.

By purchasing a subscription or using credits, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of the Service

SEOvault is a Chrome extension and web app built for WordPress authors and site owners. It provides SEO analysis, writing assistance, diagnostics, link tools, note storage, and AI-powered features. The extension works without a WordPress plugin. The web app uses a lightweight connector plugin for API communication.

Certain features rely on third-party AI and search APIs, which incur real-time usage costs.

2. Eligibility & Account Responsibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use SEOvault.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate account information
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

You are responsible for all credit usage and actions taken while logged in.

3. Credit System

3.1 Credit Usage

• Credits are required for AI-powered features
• Credits are consumed instantly when a feature is executed
• Credit usage is final and irreversible
• Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or resold

3.2 Free & Promotional Credits

• Free plans may include one-time or promotional credits
• Promotional credits may expire or have feature limitations
• Free or promotional credits are non-refundable

4. Subscriptions & Billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
• Plans renew automatically unless canceled
• You may cancel at any time to stop future billing
• Canceling does not refund the current billing period

SEOvault may change pricing, credit limits, or plan features with prior notice.

5. Payments & Merchant of Record

All payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record.

Paddle is responsible for:

• Payment processing
• Taxes and VAT (where applicable)
• Invoicing and receipts
• Chargeback handling

By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's applicable terms.

6. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund & Dispute Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

• Used credits are non-refundable
• Subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing cycle begins
• Refunds are considered only in cases of billing errors or technical failures

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Abuse, automate, or exploit the Service
• Circumvent credit limits or feature restrictions
• Reverse engineer or copy the extension
• Use SEOvault for illegal, deceptive, or harmful purposes
• Resell or sublicense the Service without permission

Violation may result in suspension or termination.

8. AI Output & SEO Disclaimer

SEOvault provides assistive tools, not guarantees.

• AI-generated outputs may contain errors or omissions
• SEO results depend on many external factors
• You are responsible for reviewing and validating all content before publishing
• SEOvault is not liable for rankings, penalties, traffic loss, or business outcomes

9. Third-Party Services

SEOvault integrates with third-party services including AI APIs, search engines, and browser/WordPress APIs. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or inaccuracies caused by third-party providers.

The optional SEOVault AI WordPress plugin may also integrate with the following third-party services. Each service is enabled only when an administrator configures or uses the related feature. The listed Terms and Privacy pages govern your use of each service.

9.1 SEOVault AI Web Service

The optional SEOVault AI web service provides cloud-based AI processing, bulk site management, advanced reports, content workflows, and remote Site Health monitoring. When an administrator connects the site with a site key, authorized requests from the service can read or update WordPress content, SEO metadata, media, schema, redirects, robots.txt and llms.txt settings, and other plugin settings needed for the action the administrator requests. The plugin does not upload posts to SEOVault AI automatically in the background.

9.2 IndexNow

When IndexNow is enabled, the plugin submits public URLs that are published, updated, or manually submitted, together with the site host and IndexNow verification key, to the IndexNow API. This notifies participating search engines that the URLs changed. No submission occurs while IndexNow is disabled.

9.3 Google Analytics

When an administrator enables Google Analytics and supplies a Measurement ID, eligible public pages load Google tag code from googletagmanager.com. The visitor's browser then sends page, device, network, and interaction data to Google according to the site's Google Analytics configuration. The plugin does not enable Google Analytics by default. Site owners are responsible for providing any notices or consent required for their visitors.

9.4 Google Maps

When an administrator supplies a Google Maps API key and places a Local SEO map shortcode on a page, that page loads the Google Maps JavaScript API from maps.googleapis.com. The visitor's browser sends the API key, IP address, browser information, and map requests, including configured location coordinates, to Google. Pages without the map shortcode do not load the service.

9.5 Administrator-Requested URL Retrieval

The schema import and live schema validation tools can retrieve a URL entered or selected by an administrator. The request is sent directly from the WordPress site to that URL only when the administrator uses the relevant tool. The remote site's operator, terms, and privacy practices depend on the URL selected by the administrator.

9.6 SEO Analyzer and Sitemap Self-Checks

When an administrator runs the SEO Analyzer, the plugin sends standard server-side HTTP GET requests to the website's own public homepage, sitemap.xml, robots.txt, RSS feed, and HTTP/HTTPS or www/non-www URL variants. These requests test sitemap, robots and feed availability, redirects and canonical host behavior, response time, and homepage headings. The authorized sitemap connector can also request the website's own public sitemap when retrieving sitemap data.

These requests contain only the normal server IP address and HTTP request headers and are sent to the analyzed website itself, not to an independent third-party service. If the website uses a hosting provider, CDN, proxy, or security service to serve those public URLs, that provider may process the requests under the site owner's existing terms and privacy arrangements.

10. Data & Privacy

Your use of SEOvault is governed by our Privacy Policy.

You retain ownership of all content you create, analyze, or store using the Service.

11. Intellectual Property

SEOvault, including its interface, scoring logic, branding, and systems, is protected intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without permission.

12. Service Availability

SEOvault is provided "as is" and "as available."

We may:

• Modify or discontinue features
• Perform maintenance or updates
• Suspend access temporarily or permanently

We are not liable for downtime or feature changes.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• SEOvault shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or SEO performance.
• Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the most recent billing cycle.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Violations of these Terms
• Abuse of credits or promotions
• Fraudulent activity or chargebacks

You may stop using SEOvault at any time.

15. Promotions & Special Offers

From time to time, SEOvault may offer promotions, discounts, or bonus credits.

• Promotions are time-limited and non-transferable
• Promotional credits have no cash value
• Abuse may result in revocation of benefits
• Promotions may be modified or withdrawn at any time

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of SEOvault constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
