What SEOvault AI does differently

Section titled “Schema approach”Other plugins ask you to select from a long list of schema types during setup. SEOvault AI takes a different approach:
- The plugin automatically generates base schema (Organization or Person) from your site identity
- Additional schema types (FAQ, HowTo, Event, Product, etc.) are added per post, per block, or per template – not selected all at once
- Schema health checks validate your markup and flag issues
This means you start with correct, minimal schema and add more as needed, rather than enabling types you may never use.
AI visibility (llms.txt)
Section titled “AI visibility (llms.txt)”SEOvault AI publishes an llms.txt file at yoursite.com/llms.txt that tells AI crawlers and answer engines about your site. No other major SEO plugin offers this feature.
No upsells or premium tiers
Section titled “No upsells or premium tiers”The plugin includes all features for free. There is no premium version, no feature gating, and no “upgrade to pro” banners in the admin interface. The optional web app connection adds AI content tools, but the SEO plugin itself is fully featured without it.
Web app integration
Section titled “Web app integration”SEOvault AI optionally connects to a web app dashboard for AI-powered content generation, bulk management, and multi-site control. Other plugins either have no web app or bundle AI features into premium tiers. SEOvault AI separates the SEO plugin (free, on your site) from the AI content tools (web app, optional).
How to switch from another SEO plugin

Section titled “Step 1: Install and activate SEOvault AI”Install the plugin following the installation guide. The onboarding wizard detects your existing SEO plugin and offers to import data during setup.
Step 2: Import your SEO data
Section titled “Step 2: Import your SEO data”The onboarding wizard’s Import step detects active SEO plugins and imports global settings. For a full post-by-post import, go to General Settings > Tools after completing the wizard.
SEOvault AI supports importing from:
- Yoast SEO – titles, descriptions, focus keywords, canonical URLs, robots directives, Open Graph data, term meta
- Rank Math – titles, descriptions, focus keywords, canonical URLs, robots directives, Open Graph data, term meta

- The SEO Framework – titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, robots directives
- SEOPress – titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, robots directives

- Squirrly SEO – per-URL SEO data from the Squirrly custom table
The import maps meta keys from the source plugin to SEOvault AI’s meta keys. Your existing SEO data is preserved – the import reads from the old plugin’s meta fields and writes to SEOvault AI’s fields.

Step 3: Deactivate the old plugin
Section titled “Step 3: Deactivate the old plugin”After importing, deactivate the old SEO plugin from Plugins > Installed Plugins. This prevents duplicate meta tags and ensures SEOvault AI is the only plugin outputting SEO tags.
If you prefer to keep both plugins active temporarily, switch SEOvault AI to Disabled mode at General Settings > Output Mode until you are ready to deactivate the old plugin.
Step 4: Verify your output
Section titled “Step 4: Verify your output”- Check the frontend of a few key pages – view the page source and confirm SEOvault AI is outputting the correct title, description, canonical, and schema tags
- Run the SEO Analyzer at SEOvault AI > SEO Analyzer to identify any issues
- Check the sitemap at
yoursite.com/sitemap.xml - Review schema at General Settings > Schema
Running alongside another SEO plugin
Section titled “Running alongside another SEO plugin”If you are not ready to switch completely, you can run SEOvault AI alongside another SEO plugin:
- Keep the other plugin active for frontend output
- Set SEOvault AI to Disabled mode at General Settings > Output Mode
- SEOvault AI stops printing tags but the admin UI, 404 monitor, redirect manager, and REST API remain active
The dashboard will show a warning banner about the detected SEO plugin. This is informational – it reminds you that duplicate tags may appear if both plugins are outputting.
What you lose by keeping another plugin
Section titled “What you lose by keeping another plugin”If you keep another plugin active and set SEOvault AI to Disabled mode, you lose:

- llms.txt publishing
