Install the WordPress Connector Plugin
The SEOVault AI Web App connects to your WordPress website through a lightweight connector plugin.
This plugin is not a heavy SEO plugin, page builder, or analytics suite. Its job is to let your WordPress site communicate securely with the SEOVault AI Web App so you can fetch posts, edit drafts, and publish content from one centralized workspace.
Why the connector plugin exists
Section titled “Why the connector plugin exists”The Chrome extension can work directly inside the WordPress editor and avoids adding extra plugin bloat for that workflow.
The Web App is different. It needs a secure way to:
- fetch your WordPress posts and pages
- open drafts in the Web App editor
- save changes back to WordPress
- create new posts
- sync content between your site and your SEOVault AI workspace
- support multi-site management from one dashboard
That is why the Web App uses a small connector plugin.
What the connector does
Section titled “What the connector does”Once installed and connected, the plugin helps SEOVault AI:
- communicate with your WordPress site through a controlled API connection
- fetch your post list and content
- send updated drafts back to WordPress
- create new posts from the Web App
- support site-level workflows such as centralized editing and publishing
Depending on your setup and plan, the Web App may also use this connection for broader workflow features such as:
- managing more than one WordPress website from one account
- syncing article workspaces
- powering site-aware internal linking and publishing actions
What the connector does not do
Section titled “What the connector does not do”The connector is designed to stay lightweight.
It does not try to replace your theme, your page builder, or your favorite SEO plugin.
It does not add a bloated front-end library to your public website.
It does not exist to load your WordPress admin area with unnecessary UI.
Its purpose is simple: secure communication between your WordPress site and the SEOVault AI Web App.

These permissions are used only to support the publishing and editing features you explicitly use.

Is the plugin heavy?
Section titled “Is the plugin heavy?”No. The connector is intended to be lightweight.
Its role is API communication and publishing support, not replacing half of your WordPress stack.

I use another SEO plugin like Rank Math or Yoast

If you support plugin-aware field syncing or metadata injection, document that separately in a dedicated guide.
Best practices
Section titled “Best practices”To get the best results:
- keep WordPress, themes, and plugins updated
- use the connector only on sites you manage or own
- test the connection on one site first before adding many sites
- document your publishing workflow for team members if you use shared workspaces
- publish a separate privacy and data handling page that explains what is synced and why
Security and trust recommendations
Section titled “Security and trust recommendations”To build user trust, your public documentation should clearly explain:
- what data is transmitted between WordPress and the Web App
- whether drafts are stored in cloud history
- whether credentials are stored, and if so, how
- how users can disconnect a site
- what happens when the plugin is deactivated or deleted
This is especially important for user confidence, plugin reviews, Chrome Web Store review alignment, and payment provider compliance.
